Fishing for our family started in Sweden. Sweden has a long tradition in the fishing industry. The Martin family name began in the United Stated. In Sweden, the name was Burnsenton. As was the custom in that day, when people immigrated to the United States, they often switched their first name and made it their last name. Such was the case, when Martin was taken as the last name.
